The Rays started the day off in fine fashion hammering the Charleston Mets 11-1 in five innings. Lee Gatlin pitched five strong innings and went 3-3 with 2 doubles at the plate. Jonathan Batts added 2 hits one which was a towering shot over the right field fence. Then in the semi-final game Skylar Bowen and Hector Pichardo pitched an excellent game and Adam Norris homered over the left field fence but the Rays last inning rally came up short as they lost 3-1 to the Charleston Indians. The defense and pitching was excellent throughout the tournament but runs were a premium and overall it was a very successful tournament in preparation for the MABL tournament in Florida next month
