1) How many games will be played?
There will be app. 20 regular season games and then a league tournament.
2) How much does it cost?
Total for the season is $300 per person. $175 must be paid upon registration and then the $125 balance before the 11th game.
3) What does the fee include?
The fee includes almost everything Fields, balls, umpires, and even your uniform (hat, shirt, pants, belt, and socks)
4) How do I get on a team?
You are welcome to bring your own team. If you are a single player you can be placed with a team that needs players.
5) Can me and my buddy play on the same team?
If you have one or more guys that want to play on the same team, we will do all we can to get you on the same team.
6) When will the games be played?
Games will be played on Sunday afternoons with the exception of one Thursday night game per team. (schedule subject to change)
7) What are the age limits?
18-30 31-45 46-up players may play down as long as they wish. Only exception is each team may have 2 players that are within 2 years of the minimum but those 2 players may not pitch. (example) two 29 year old players may play in the 31-45 league but cannot pitch.
8) Does the league provide insurance?
Yes each registered Coastal Men's Baseball player has medical coverage while participating in MABL/MSBL practice and games.
9) How competitive is the league?
There are players at a variety of skill and experience levels. Most players had some high school experience and maybe college. But many haven’t played in 10, 20 or 30 years. After a few practice sessions and a few games most players find the game comes back to them and they can compete at their age level!
10) Is there any travel involved?
No all games are played at local fields in the area such as the ones listed under fields on the homepage. However members of MABL/MSBL are eligible to play in sanctioned regional,state,and national tournaments if they so wish.
